Your Job as a Peer Support Specialist:
The Peer Support Specialist works with the care management team in providing a seamless continuum of care.
Maintains regular and constant communication with patients to provide a set of non-clinical activities that engage, educate and offer support to patients.
The Peer Support Specialist will help patients to remove personal and environmental obstacles to health care access and help them remain in recovery.
Your Responsibilities as a Peer Support Specialist:
Facilitate peer lead support groups.
Serve as a mentor for patients by demonstrating ways to become empowered and self-responsible.
Coordinating care and serve as patient advocate; Providing care management and care coordination services for patients in the clinic.
Responsible for coordinating continuum of care activities for assigned patients and ensuring optimum utilization of resources, service delivery, and compliance with external agencies and referral sources requirements; May also be responsible for conducting individual, and family educational sessions, various duties related to coordinating treatment and discharge activities, as needed; Coordinates in a timely manner, issues or activities relevant to the team, and/or to the team's relationship within the facility or treatment milieu; and, Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
Direct experience in substance abuse field through personal life experiences, instruction/internship or similar practicum through education or certification proces reuqired.
Licenses/Certifications:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
